No Child
Without a Wish

Help us bring hope and transformation to every eligible child

This Holiday Season
No Child
Without a Wish

Can you help this December?

Our vision is ambitious: to deliver the power of a wish to every eligible ill child. But every year, thousands of children with a critical illness miss on this vital experience.

We simply don’t have the resources to reach them all.

Together, we can change that.

Become a regular supporter

This holiday season we are looking for 300 regular supporters to help us bring hope and transformation in 2019 and beyond.

Make a one-time donation

Your one-time donation, no matter how big or small, will help grant the wish of a child with a critical illness.

Together, We Will Do the Impossible...

Like taking Dwayne to the Moon!

...but we cannot do it without you!

Medicines Cure the Body, Wishes Cure the Soul

Why Wishes Matter

When children are battling a critical illness, so much of their normal childhood is taken away from them — it is exhausting, both emotionally and physically. A wish is something that gives children the opportunity to look outside their illness — it restores a sense of childhood back to the child and normalcy back to the family.

Research shows, and physicians agree, wishes can help improve a child’s quality of life and produce better health outcomes. Members of the Make-A-Wish® America Medical Advisory Committee share the life-changing impact wishes have — beyond just medicine — on their patients and their families.
"It's an unsaid power... These are kids that are living longer, are living better, they are having more fun in their lives... and it all started with one experience."

A Global Force for Happiness and Hope

We are thousand-strong, and only missing you

Where it all started

The creation of Make-A-Wish was inspired in the U.S. in 1980 by the fulfillment of a wish of a 7-year-old boy with leukemia named Chris Greicius, who wished to be a policeman. His mother, several friends and a group of police officers, with the cooperation of the Arizona Department of Public Safety, granted his wish with a custom-made uniform, helmet, badge, and helicopter ride!
